Starting out
You can see here I dragged my chat pane into middle of the screen. Made it huge so you can see how I have it laid out bottom left side much smaller normally.

Did you know you can Move the various window panes anywhere you want? Or that you can minimize them into very tiny box if you do not want them in a tab format? You minimize the window by clicking above the - (minus sign)

How-ToRight click on the GENERAL tab after you have made your main window interactive in order to move it around your screen. Select CREATE NEW WINDOW...
< CLICK to view full size! It will then ask you what you want to name it! Right Click on NEW window pane < Click to view full size! This is where you can adjust each window chat pane to include or exclude what you want to view in that window. Simple radio buttons (the squares) and adjust the color of the font. < Click to view full size! Once you create your window you want to go under Interface, Social, then on right hand side: Timestamp for chat messages. This comes in handy so you know how long it has been since you were involved in answering other peoples comments and/or questions in guild chat. ↑ #HINT ↑ < Bottom left of that same window pane you can connect the @TWITTER account of your choice! < SAMPLE of Guild Chat & Officer Channel in same WoW Chat Pane. Notice how nice it is to know how long since someone replied to conversation? When in raid or pvp I put the Chat Frames back together and have them even smaller. When someone talks in one of the channels it will highlight the window chat pane. General tab would be for raid & dungeons, then the following: whisper & real Id Guild tab General & Trade (suggested combo) |
